Ruling 467*

According to some jurists, it is disapproved for a ḥāʾiḍ to read the Qur’an, keep the Qur’an with herself, touch in between the writing of the Qur’an or the margins of the Qur’an, and dye her hair with henna or something similar.

    This ruling changed in March 2022. The previous version of the ruling was as follows:

    “According to some jurists, it is disapproved for a ḥāʾiḍ to read the Qur’an, to keep the Qur’an with herself, to touch in between the writing of the Qur’an, and to dye her hair with henna or something similar.”
