Ruling 2539

If a woman says, ‘My ʿiddah has come to an end’, her word is to be accepted unless she is believed to be someone whose word cannot be accepted in this case, in which case, based on obligatory precaution, her word is not to be accepted. For example, if she claims that she experienced bleeding three times in one month, her claim is not to be accepted unless her female relatives substantiate that her menstrual habit was like that.
