It is recommended that between adhān and iqāmah, one should take a step forward, or sit down briefly, or perform sajdah, or engage in remembering Allah (dhikr), or recite a duʿāʾ, or be silent briefly, or talk, or perform a two rakʿah prayer. However, talking between adhān and iqāmah of ṣubḥ prayers is not recommended.
