Ruling 2312

The type and amount of the debt being transferred must be specified. Therefore, if a person owes a quantity of wheat (say, 10 kilograms) and an amount of money (say, £10), and he says to the creditor, ‘Get one of the two things you are owed from so-and-so’ without specifying which item, the transfer is not correct.
