Ruling 2069

It is permitted to buy and sell leather that is imported from non-Muslim countries or acquired from a disbeliever in the event that one deems it probable that it is from an animal which was slaughtered according to Islamic law. Moreover, it is correct (ṣaḥīḥ) to perform prayers with it [if one deems it probable that it is from an animal which was slaughtered according to Islamic law].
