Inheritance – What is the ruling of social security whom it goes to, If the beneficiary is wife after his death.

I have questions if the husband dies in USA and will he made will accordingly to western way. Give his only house as a gift to his wife and retirement to his wife and  What is the ruling of social security whom it goes to if the beneficiary is wife after his death.Please can you clear this. Salams.On behalf of my friend’s mother-in-law, she didn’t have a will, she died. . She didn’t know one of her son had done life insurance the other children didn’t keep her.  Question does the money needs to divided among her children? Her Children didn’t know regarding the life insurance.
