Q:

I am a computer science student doing bachelors in technology I am making planes for my future students. So where will it be fit to study masters in technology SAUDI ARAB or USA

A:

Salamun Alaykum

Thank you for your query.

I don’t know where are you currently residing. You have to analyze where you can keep your Iman(faith) safe. In the U.S you may get many options but if you fear you will lose your faith if you study there, then it will be better to refrain.

Compare the studies of both places along with the positives and negatives of living in such places and consult with the professionals of those fields and then decide. But you must remember you shouldn’t go to any place where you feel or know you will lose your faith.

If you decide to go to Saudia Arabia as it is a Muslim country but again you must be aware of the Wahhabism who have taken their thoughts from Abdul Wahhab(1792demise) and ibne Taimiyya(1328 demise). Their religion is based on the thoughts of the Muhammad bin Abdul Wahhab who took the thoughts from ibn Taimiyya and made the new sect known as Wahhabism. This shows their sect came into existence almost after 1000 years of Islam and our beloved Prophet(s.a.w.w). So, if you decide to go Saudi Arabia then you must be aware of these things and not lose the true faith and way shown by Prophet(s.a.w.w) and Ahlul Bayt(as).

Question: Is it permissible for a person to reside in non-Muslim countries with all its temptations that confronts the person on the street, the school, the television and other media while he has the ability to migrate to a Muslim country although that transfer would cause difficulty in residence, loss of material wealth and comfort, and constrain the worldly aspects of his life? If it is not permissible to remain in such a country, would his efforts in propagation among the Muslims (reminding them of their obligations and encouraging them to refrain from haram) change the rule for him and allow him to remain in that country?

Answer: It is not Haram to stay in that country, if it does not create hurdles for him and his family in fulfilling their religious obligations presently as well as in future; otherwise, it would not be permissible even if he is engaged in some kind of propagation activities.

I would recommend you to read the books regarding belief(Theology) to strengthen your beliefs. One of the easiest books to understand: https://www.al-islam.org/fifty-lessons-principles-belief-youth-naser-makarem-shirazi

May Allah(swt) grant you success
