Ask an Alim

weird dreams what should I do

Q:

Assalam O Alaikum. I’m 16 years old. I don’t really have a question but need suggestion. From past 2 days I’ve dreamt some weird things.
Yesterday was Friday. I woke up at 10:00 and decided to sleep till 12:00 as the Friday prayer takes place at 2:30.
I Dreamt about a beautiful girl in a dream and It was not an ordinary women. It was sort of a wet dream and I couldn’t get out of it. Even though I wanted. I even felt myself awake but couldn’t actually wake up and by that I missed the Friday prayer. I think it was some kinda of shaitan that didn’t want me to pray Jummah.
Tomorrow morning. Around 2:00 I dreamt again. But it was nothing in visual but just a conversation. It was like a mother talking to children when they are 2-3.
“Who’s son are you? You Cutie!” and I NauzuBillah unconsciously replied “God’s”. I immediately woke up and Recited AauzuBillah and Astaghfar. Can you please suggest me what should I do to avoid these things

Reality of Dreams

In order to have a peaceful sleep, some etiquettes have to be followed.

It is narrated from our 8th Imam (a.s): We, the Ahlul Bayt, have ten qualities when we sleep: Purification (by ablution), laying on the right side, reciting “Subhanallah” thirty-three times, reciting “Alhamdulillah” thirty-three times, reciting “Allahu Akbar” thirty-four times, facing the Qiblah, reciting Fatihat al-Kitab (Surah al-Hamd) and Ayat al-Kursi and bearing witness to Allah that there is no god but He and the one who performs these actions has taken his share of benefit from the night.
