Wearing stockings in state of Ahram?

Q:

Assalamoalikom, Inshah Allah I am planning to go Umrah for the first time next week Tuesday. My question is am I allowed to wear stockings(compression)? I generally wear them about 14 to 16 hours a day because of my medical condition. It helps to keep good flow of blood in my leg as my main vain in left leg get damaged after DVT( blood clot) about 2 years ago. Without stocking it is very difficult for me to move as my leg gets swollen because of poor blood circulation. I really want to do Umrah but some of my friends have told me that it is not allowed. If this is the case then I will still take a risk but I don’t want to leave without Umrah. Can you please advise me religiously on this matter?
Jazakallah
Ammad

A:

Wa Alaykumussalam

Thank you for your query.

According to Ayatullah al-Udhma Sayyid Ali Sistany’s office:

If it is due to the medical condition and it worsens without wearing, then it can be worn inside Ehram.

I pray for your good health so you can perform Umrah.

Remember our team in your Duas.
