Right of inheritance from divorced father or paternal grandfather

Q:

I have been divorced for 12 years. My husband remarried right after my divorce and never showed interest in owning our two sons. The court ordered him to pay PKR 2000 for our elder son who was school going at that time and PKR 1500 for our younger son. He paid that money very irregularly with an excuse that he is not earning enough. He divorced his second wife as well and has married third time just recently.
Now my elder son is 19 and younger is 16. My question is if my sons are eligible of any inheritance from their paternal grandfather or father? They have been deprived of any compassion or love from that household and never received any gifts or kindness. I have worked myself to provide for their schooling and other expenses. Alhamdulillah they have had good schooling and bear strong moral character. Due to Covid, I have been out of work and am failing miserably to make the ends meet. Can they claim anything from their father who is son of a wealthy person of high status?

Thank you for your question.

Your children’s father has to fulfill their basic needs and

provide for their maintenance.
Your children will also inherit from their father.

It is obligatory on the father to provide for the child, male as well as female
