Considering Respecting Of Month of Ramadhan

A person excused from fasting due to illness:

Can a person eat in front on his fasting colleagues either at lunch or meetings, where non-muslim colleagues have brought in a treat. At times colleagues go together for lunch and at times these lunches are sponsored by employers, can a non-fasting person, mentioned above, eat while in the gathering there is a Muslim Colleague observing his fast?

It is not haram to do so, but recommended to respect the sensitivities of Muslim who are fasting
