Regarding Repenting for Zina and Marriage thereafter

Q:

QUESTION: If a girl commits zina and then sincerely repeats for it. And cuts off all relations with the man she was doing it with. Will their marriage be valid (If THE MAN HAS NOT REPENTED)? Is it permissible?

(BACKGROUND: I am no one to judge another… but the boy also has other bad habits. He is just trying to put the girl into fear and get her back. He is obsessed over her. The girl initially after the first time he forced her.. She remained quiet and decided to change him for better.. but he has no sign of change. Also if someone really gets close to Allah they would never think of doing something like that.. and repeat such stuff or do something such as revealing themselves.. they would probably die in shame.. but whatever it may be… Allah knows what is in each person. )

Salamun Alaykum

Thank you for your query.

They must repent for the Haram action they have indulged in.

If the girl was unmarried, then they can marry each other but if the married girl had committed zina then they cannot marry each other forever.

According to Ayatullah al-Udhma Sayyid Ali Sistany:

Question: If a married woman commits adultery with a man, what would be the ruling about them.

Answer: The married woman becomes permanently forbidden for him (obligatory precaution).

Question: If an unmarried lady and a man have had pre-marital sex, are they allowed to enter marriage contract (Nikah) with each other?

Answer: Yes, they are allowed, after their repentance.
