Recitation Whilst Performing Ghusl

Should one recite anything whilst performing ghusl?

Bismillah al-Rahmaan al-Raheem
alSalam Alaikum

In thebook “al-‘urwah al-wuthqah”, the following du’a has been mentioned as one of the recommended actions during ghusl:

Oh Allah! Purify my heart, accept my effort, and make that which is with you the best for me. Oh Allah! Make me one of those who repent, and make me one of those who purify themselves.

Or thefollowing dua:

Oh Allah! Purify my heart, expand my chest, make your praise and thanksgiving to you flow upon my tongue. Oh Allah! Make it for me a purification, a cure, and a light. Verily, you are All-Powerful over everything.

And if this du’a is also recited after the ghusl, it is even better.
