Need of this world? creation

Q:

As a Muslim, I believe Allah created me. He is God. Everything is under Him and He has the knowledge of everything. Question is if Allah knows when and where something is going to happen, what choices we made as a human, and knows all the outcomes, knows who is going to Jannah and Jhanum. Means he had already planned all of this then aren’t only pawns which are moving with passaging time. Why He created Iblees? Why He created Adam and Hava? Why he created this world? Why He wanted to suffer humans as in the Quran He loves a human over 70 mothers, and no mother wants to see his children suffer, then why? If all the humans later or sooner will go to Jannah, then why? Why did He want to suffer prophets and their believers most? If He has angels for worship and not interested in worships of humans and jinns then why? Why in the first place need for all of this?

Assalamu Alaykum
Thank you for your Question.

im going to break down your Question into numbers and try my best to answer them inshaAllah

1) Q:what choice do we have if He (swt) knows whats going to happen of us?
A: knowledge of Allah (swt) does not intervene with humans freewill. Allah (swt), knows what choices we are going to make, or what our end is going to be, but that knowledge does not stop one from having free will. His (swt)’s knowledge has no impact on our choices and action. (meaning, his knowledge doesn’t force us to either do an act or leave it). I’d like you to think about the following: A teacher, sets an equal exam for his students and allows them to pour their understanding in it. He as a teacher knows the abillity of his students. he knows who will top the class and who is going to have very low marks. yet, he sets an exam and the students write it down. This knowledge does not mean he is encouraging the top student or vice vers for the lowest scorer in class. in the same manner Allah knows our abilities. He(swt) is aware of top scorers and lowest marks earner. Yet He (swt) gives us all the same right and opportunityto try our best.
On the same note, if the Teacher decided to give marks to the students without actually having them sit for a test. just because he knows the abilit of his students, would that be fair?
in the Same manner, if Allah directly took us to Jannah or God-forbid Jahannam wihtout bringing us here to the world, and blessing us with free will, would it be fair? wouldn’t all of us protest against Him (swt) for ourselves or our loved ones?.

hence it is the human’s free will that takes him to the heights beyond the angels or smash hims down lower than the Animals. Just like Allah (swt) mentions in sura al-A’araf:179:

meaning: Certainly We have winnowed out for hell many of the jinn and humans: they have hearts with which they do not understand, they have eyes with which they do not see, they have ears with which they do not hear. They are like cattle; indeed, they are more astray. It is they who are the heedless.

2) Q: wht He (swt) created Iblees:
A:https://fiqh.world-federation.org/question/purpose-behind-creation-of-satan/

I will also suggest you read the following for further understaning on the matter. it has answered you rother Queries in it.

Purpose of our Creation

in the end i’d like to mention that:

– best things are obtained after alot of hard ship. Gold has to go through all the heat and mending before it becomes worthy of what it stands for!

– ‘after every diffculty there is ease’ (al-Inshirah:5)

-َ’Allah does not task a sould beyond its capacity…’ (al-Baqarah:286)

Corruption has appeared in land and sea because of the doings of the people’s hands, that He may make them taste something of what they have done, so that they may come back (al-Rum:41)

hope this helps,
kind regards,

Wa alaikum al_salam

Thanks for sharing your question and sorry for late response

there are two different types of questions about creation:

we go upward in order to seek the reason of creation and understand what is our role in this world.
we ask the God’s motivation and reason for beginning the creation and the starting of this world.

there are two different answers for these two different sets of questions:

For the first approach, we are the creation of Allah and we must seek perfection under his guidance by following his orders. Besides, if it didn’t happen like this (and we weren’t created in this world in first place) then how, one senario is as follows: Allah should have sent us to heaven and hell based on his Divine knowledge about us, this would be problematic for various reasons, for example it is unfair to punish or reward someone who didn’t do anything, or as creation we could complain to him because of this discrimination in putting some in paradise and others in hell.

But when it comes to the second approach which is what is Allah’s motivation and reason for the starting creation? especially if he doesn’t need us or our worship (because any kind of need is a sign of weakness and Allah is not weak)

We must pay attention that this question comes to Allah’s reason and motivation, which could be completely out of our reach and understanding. yet we can speculate on some answers or give some answers based on ahadith (hadith kanz, for example), One of the answers could be Allah’s perfection and greatness. We believe in a perfect God who’s perfect in any conceivable way, he has all of great adjectives, he’s all-knowing all-powerful all-good etc. In this case then, starting creation and creating something is necessary for him because creating something (vs not doing it) is a great adjective and perfection which Allah must have.

and just like a god with creations is more perfect than a god without creation, a creation with freewill is more perfect than a creation without freewill. Since our creator is the perfect being his creation is best and perfect, that’s why humans and jinns have their free will because having free will and choosing the right path is more perfect than not having free will.
