Music in the Movies

Q:

Salam,

La musique étant interdite dans l’islam, je suis un grand amateurs de film occidentaux et il y a souvent des scènes contenants de la musique, suis je obligé de couper le son à chaque fois ou alors il y a une tolérance pour les musiques de films ?

Since music is prohibited in Islam, and I am a great lovers of western film, there is often of the Scenes containing music.

am I obliged to cut off the sound each time or  is there a tolerance for the music in movies?

Music is haram even if its in movies.

Ayatullah Sistani’s ruling on music is: If the music accompanying it is that which is suitable for entertainment and amusement gatherings, it is not permissible to listen to it.
