Missing prayers

Q:

I live in Kharkiv to study, and with class mates. I’m planning to travel to next city for shopping. It takes 2:30 minutes to go there and we staying there for 6 hours. But the problem is I will miss 3 prayer. As I’m going at 8:00am and coming at 5pm. So what should I do to my prayer.. its not a Islamic country and I don’t think I can get any place to pray in that city.

A:

Salamun Alaykum

Thank you for your query.

إِنَّنِي أَنَا اللَّهُ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا أَنَا فَاعْبُدْنِي وَأَقِمِ الصَّلَاةَ لِذِكْرِي

Indeed I am Allahthere is no god except Me. So worship Me, and maintain the prayer for My remembrance. (Taha/14)

Brother, why would you miss the prayers? Salat is wajib in every situation. Along with your shopping and spending time with your friends, you can definitely take some time out of your schedule to pray in front of the Almighty who gave you all these bounties to enjoy.

In case any of the Salat becomes Qadha, you must try to make it up as soon as possible.

Alhamdulillah nowadays you can find the compass and other Qiblah direction applications on Play/Apple store to find out Qiblah where ever in the world you are. You can use that app, find the Qiblah direction and pray next to the car. It is not hard. There is a way if there is a will. So if you have a strong will and intention that you have to pray, you will definitely not miss the prayers.
