marrying married man against parents wish

Q:

I am 27 years old relationship with A man he is married ..he want to marry me and i want to marry him reason is that my family is not accepting me to be his second Wife..i have proposal of single man ..but i want to marry him ..if i disagree with my parents am i disrespecting them? N marrying married man will be my wrong discussion please help

Thank you for your question.

One of the main requirements for marriage is compatibility spouses. Compatibility in status, lifestyle, way of thinking,position…etc.

In your case,you have all the right to get married to this man but don’t you think his marital status can be a cause of conflict and misunderstanding in your life?As you mentioned ,he already has a wife therefore his attention, love and responsibility will be divided between two people and he might not be able to give you an ideal life.
I think this is why your parents are not accepting this proposal as all parents want the best for their children.

one more thing you have to consider is according to Islam, a virgin girl cannot get married without the permission of her father or paternal father.

Therefore, I suggest that think again before taking any decision.
