Is saying MASHALLAH by looking at any beautiful girl is allowed or not ?

Q:

I saw a girl with beautiful hands and feets in a picture and I said MASHALLAH how beautiful feet and hands she have ..is saying MASHALLAH wrong ?

A:

Salamun Alaykum

Thank you for your query.

If one intentionally looks at na mahram and says MashAllah then that wouldn’t be correct as one is willingly looking at the na mahram. But if the sight falls on a na mahram unintentionally and one says MashAllah then there is no problem. But we should remember that if sight falls unintentionally we shouldn’t prolong it and do not say mashAllah with lust or desire.

One must be aware and careful that he doesn’t look at the na mahram intentionally as the Haraam sight is one of the traps of satan and the haraam sight is like a poison.

Wassalam,
