Is divorce given by a person with personality disorder applicable?

My husband is suffering from a multiple personality disorder and is on psychiatric medication. He gets into a personality full of anger and self harms himself in that phase and usually forgets it later. In that situation he has said once that he has given divorce to me and now he doesn’t accept it
My question is is this divorce valid?

Thank you for your Question

The following is according to the Shia sect.

For a divorce to be correct, it has to have the following conditions:

1- You have to have two believing adults as your witness
2- The woman has to be clean of her menstrual period and also shouldn’t be pregnant
3- Proper Arabic words need to be uttered for the act to take place.
