Investment in a Restaurant Selling Haram meat

Q:

Assalam O Alaikum,

My brother has recently moved to United Kingdom and is thinking of investing some money in a restaurant. The restaurant he is getting serves Fish and Chips and also sells haram sausages and bacon. He has been told that if he tries to change the menu then the business will go down. My question, is it okay to invest in such business?

According to Ayatullah Sistani (hA) it is impermissible to sell pork even to non-Muslims and the income earned from it is not halal. Please refer to the question and answers below from his (hA) website:

2Question: Is it permissible to buy or sell pork to non-Muslims?

Answer: It is not permissible.

4Question: Can a Muslim buy or sell wine or pork to non-Muslims? What is the fatwa on the income one gets by doing such a job?

Answer: It is not permissible to sell these things and the income is not halal.
