As-salamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah

Thanks for your question

Sometimes in marriage, we look for the perfect person, but we must be aware that there is no such thing as a perfect one; we are not perfect either.

Everyone has some standards for their marriage, it’s important to consider how much of our standards are religious or not (and of course, if not, we have to correct them). Some of these standards have high priority for us, we have to check if that person (life partner) doesn’t have the high priorities, that means I can’t live in that situation (for example i’m a punctual and a tidy person, so I expect the same from my wife and if she doesn’t has this quality I can’t live with her)

It’s up to you what to do about your marriage, but according to sharia law, if a divorce takes place after the conclusion of the marriage contract without any sexual intercourse, it is an irrevocable divorce. An irrevocable divorce is one in which the husband does not have the right to return to his wife after the divorce, meaning that he cannot remarry her without a new marriage contract.
