Ask an Alim

I entered Makkha without performing Umrah.

Q:

Two months ago I went for Umrah, on the second day of Eid Al Adha, I wore Ahram and was on the way to Makkha  for Umrah but at the check point, The police did not allow me to perform Umrah, then I removed  my ahram and entered Makkah without  performing Umrah.

Please tell me what should I do.

Thanks

Salam alaikum

Alhamdulilah that you are concerned with your obligations.

According to Ayatollah Sistani, in normal situations one is not allowed to enter makkah without umrah. Although its not a sin if someone is forced to enter without ehram.

So when you got free,if you have returned to Meeqat and got your ehram and performed your umrah then its totally fine.

And if it was not possible for you to go to meeqat then going as far as possible of haram and getting ehram from there would have worked for you.

So if you were able to do any of the things above, then there is nothing on you.
