Witchcraft

Q:

One marriage is in conflict while the couples were always seen loving and together. Someone pointed that could it be someone perhaps an enemy, over wanting the girl or the boy or wanting the child or due to some jealousy or revenge has done witchcraft to cause conflict and hatred. I came across the following hadith and ayat..

Nahjul Fasahah – لَوْ كَانَ شَيْ‏ءٌ سَابَقَ القَدَرَ لَسَبَقَتْهُ العَيْنُ.
If anything could take precedence over fate, it would (definitely) be an evil eye.

[2:102] And they followed what the Shaitans chanted of sorcery in the reign of Sulaiman, and Sulaiman was not an unbeliever, but the Shaitans disbelieved, they taught men sorcery and that was sent down to the two angels at Babel, Harut and Marut, yet these two taught no man until they had said, “Surely we are only a trial, therefore do not be a disbeliever.” Even then men learned from these two, magic by which they might cause a separation between a man and his wife; and they cannot hurt with it any one except with Allah’s permission, and they learned what harmed them and did not profit them, and certainly they know that he who bought it should have no share of good in the hereafter and evil was the price for which they sold their souls, had they but known this.

If this did take place, how can we break the spell?please advice

A:
 Alaykum Salaam

While we accept that the issue of evil eye is plausible, at the same time,
in marital conflicts it would be wise to seek conciliation through a
mediator who can listen to the grievances of both parties and Inshallah
counsel them to improve the marriage.

If they are afraid that they have been attacked by evil eye, then I can
recommend that they take out Sadaqa to ward off balaa, as well as recite
Dua no 23 from Sahifaye Sajjadiyaya where Imam Zain al-Abidin (A) seeks
wellbeing from Allah, including protection from evil eye (verse 26)

 With kind regards
