Ask an Alim

how to deal with sister who dont want to be muslim

Q:

Aslam u alaikum
2 years ago I became more interested in Islam because I wanted to get something and after 2 years I have become a better Muslim but I have been making duas for year and they are not accepted.

I have become tired and lost.

I can’t be asked making Dua or at least making those particular duas that aren’t accepted when I made them continuously for years.

What should I do

I also have sister who says she doesn’t want to be Muslim anymore she lives alone is 18.

My mother has told her you need to be more considerate while making this decision.

If you leave Islam we will not have anything to do with each other.

How should we deal with my sister and my problem with dua.

A:

Waalykum salam

Thank you for your Question

For the duas that you have asked and aren’t answered please refer to the link below:

Duas Not Accepted

As for your sister. You certainly need to take tiny steps into understanding her and her decisions. You must make that communication with her to be able to understand her problem. If you’re unable to do so٫ you may approach a family member or friend she would speak to.
Then You may want to get in touch with your local Aalim and seek help and address your sisters concerns and queries.

Good luck
Best wishes
