Displeasing Parents

Q:

IN THE NAME OF ALLAH (SWT) THE MOST KIND THE MOST MERCIFUL

Assalamu Alaykum My question is that if a person disobayes, displeases, angers or does something that he feels would anger his parents, does it mean that now Allah will not forgive him and his deeds will not be accepted.

A:

Alaykum Salaam.

Disobeying or displeasing parents is permissible only in matters where they are ordering you to disobey Allah. Otherwise, disobedience and displeasing parents calls for asking for their forgiveness and asking Allah to forgive you as well.

The doors to Allah’s Mercy are always open for one who repents sincerely.
