Can Reincarnation be justified?

Q:

Is there any justification of concept of reincarnation in Shia beliefs?

A:

There are 3 major beliefs regarding the life after death:

1. Atheist view: They believe that there is no world post death. 23:37 condemns such a belief.

2. Eastern Religions: They believe in Reincarnation where a person is supposed to come back to this very world after his death in one form or other based on his “Karma”.

3. Abrahamic religions: Muslims and many others believe in the concept of the day of Judgement and resurrection.

One third of the Qur’an encompasses the verses related to the Day of Judgment. In no way, a Muslim can justify the concept of reincarnation based on the many verses of the holy Qur’an in relation to the day of Judgment and resurrection.
