Will Non-Muslims Go To Heaven? (Judgement)

Q:

Can non-Muslims go to heaven after they die?? Is there any way at all for them to go heaven, one that involves like, Muslims saying dua for him or praying that person will go to heaven? If there is, can it work for non-muslims who commit suicide?

A:

Bismillah ArRahman ArRaheem

Salaam Alaykum,

Kindly Refer: Allah’s Judgement

It all depends on the path they took and the merits they earned and if they are on the Path towards their Creator or not.  Some one who is not Muslim but was on the path to discovery and true searching may be able to enter Heaven – If God Wills it – be they (true) Jewish or Christians, and a Muslim in turn can be thrown in to Hell, due to their deeds.  But the criteria in its most basic form is Islam and good deeds.
See this Ayah as an example:
Ayah 2:62
Translation:
Surely they that believe, and those of Jewry, and the Christians, and those Sabaeans, whoso believes in God and the Last Day, and works righteousness — their wage awaits them with their Lord, and no fear shall be on them; neither shall they sorrow.  Ayah 2:62.
