Wearing a Tie of Pure Silk

Q:

The Eminent Scholars of Islamic Jurisprudence emit the fatwa of the ban [for men] to wear clothes made of pure silk. But is it authorized for a man to wear silk mixed with another material when it is a tie ? So, is it forbidden for a man to wear a tie when it is made of pure silk?

A:

It is not forbidden to wear a tie, even though it is made of pure silk, because it is not used to hide private parts.

Regarding silk mixed with another material, so that it (the textile) is no longer considered as pure silk, it is authorized to wear it even if the garment is used to hide private parts.
