A:

Waalykum salam

thank you for your Question

You certainly can. Infact it is a very noble act to do so.
Charity is highly recommended in Islam.
Quran in S.Munafiqun:10 says:

Meaning:

Spend out of what We have provided you before death comes to any of you, whereat he might say, ‘My Lord, why did You not respite me for a short time so that I could give charity and become one of the righteous!’

Since the money that your parents give you, they are purely your property as you can do as you wish.
