Can father be a lawyer of his daughter’s nikkah?

Q:

Can father be a lawyer of his daughter’s nikkah? Please explain the following:
1, Is that allowed from shariyah perspective?
2,How people will perceive it from social point of view?

Thank you for your question.

Father can be lawyer (vakil) on behalf of his daughter (bride). There is no problem in it as per Islamic point of view.
