Blood of babies from cuts due to their nails would be considered as najis ?

Q:

لسَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ
I have an infant child that constantly cuts his face with his nails and this causes small wounds which forms tiny amounts of blood, the blood doesn’t run (the blood stays at the location of the wound) and it quickly dries. Is the location of the wound najis?

A:

Wa Alaykumussalam

Thank you for your question

If it is blood it is najis even if dried but if it is inside the skin then it is not najis as it won’t transfer the najasat through the skin. So, if you are certain the blood is above the skin then it is najis and if inside the skin, then it is considered Paak.

To prevent this situation, you can cut your child’s nails more often so they aren’t sharp.

May Allah(swt) grant you success
