Ask an Alim

Are there any particular azkaar

Q:

Are there any particular azkaar’s that have been mentioned in hadith to attain maximum number of hoor al ain in Jannah? Any mention in hadith s regarding any particular azkar’s?

A:

Salamun Alaykum

Thank you for your query.

We can recite any Dua or Zikr but it has been narrated from Imam Sadiq(as) to recite this Dua:

O God, help me with the fear of the Day of Judgment, and take me out of the world safe, and marry the Hoor al-Ain to me,….and make me one of your worthy servants by your mercy.

But it should be noticed that Duas and Azkar alone cannot bring us the things which have been mentioned in what we recite. The other main factor to gain the blessings and gifts in Paradise is to have Taqwa(God-wary).

Allah (swt) says in Surah Dukhan/51-55:

Indeed the Godwary will be in a safe place, amid gardens and springs, dressed in fine silk and brocade, sitting face to face. So shall it be, and We shall wed them to black-eyed houris. Secure [from any kind of harm,] there they will call for every kind of fruit [they wish].

So the essential factor to get the blessings in paradise is to have piety and be God-wary. One gains these because of his deeds, as mentioned in Surah Toor/21 (کُلُّ امْرِئٍ بِما کَسَبَ رَهِینٌ) which means “Every person is hostage to what he has earned.”

One of the things is to control our sight from seeing na mahram and Haraam things. It has come in a hadith from Imam Sadiq, the gist of the hadith is: “Whoever looks at a non-mahram woman, then raises his eyes to the sky or closes his eyes, he has not yet opened his eyes that God will marry him to a Hurul Ain”

S

In another hadith it says:

“If a person mediates about marriage, God will grant him Hur al-Ain.”

Marriage has become difficult nowadays, but a person who mediates and help the two parties meet and marry, Allah(swt) will grant him Hur al-Ain. But mediating or helping is also under the Taqwa(God-wary) category which means the essential criteria again is to have Taqwa. Because a person who mediates and makes others marry but himself is not a pious and God-wary person shouldn’t expect blessings from Allah(swt)

Therefore, we understand that the main criteria is to have Taqwa. The more the Taqwa a person has, the good the deeds will be, which eventually leads one to gain the proximity of Allah(swt) and hence get Paradise and Hur al-Ain in reward.

May Allah(swt) grant you success.

Wassalam,

Syed Haider
