Salaam Alaykum

Ponder upon these Ayahs:

Ayahs 3:116-117

Translation (Arberry): As for the unbelievers, their riches shall not avail them, neither their children, against God; those are the inhabitants of the Fire, therein dwelling forever.3:116
The likeness of that they expend in this present life is as the likeness of a freezing blast that smites the tillage of a people who wronged themselves, and it destroyed that; God wronged them not, but themselves they wronged.  3:116-117.

And also:

Ayah 2:264

Translation (Arberry): O believers, void not your freewill offerings with reproach and injury, as one who expends of his substance to show off to men and believes not in God and the Last Day. The likeness of him is as the likeness of a smooth rock on which is soil, and a torrent smites it, and leaves it barren. They have no power over anything that they have earned. God guides not the people of the unbelievers.  2:264

There are a number of Ayahs that are similar to this – In order to enter the Mercy and Rewards that await us, we must firstly hold some of the keys that opens these doors, and the first and foremost are not only deeds, but also faith.

Notwithstanding all this – Allahﷻ is the most Just and Compassionate and will judge each individual upon their own merits, as long as they are on the path towards his or her Creator.:

Ayah 2:112

Translation: Nay, but whosoever submits his will to God, being a good-doer, his wage is with his Lord, and no fear shall be on them, neither shall they sorrow.  2:112
